Our Story

How it all started...

In August of 2014, twenty people gathered in a living room and asked God to begin a new work in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A simple gathering for worship, fellowship, teaching, and prayer became a faith family called Grace Collective Church.

Over the next four years GCC's weekly worship gathering moved six times without a place of their own. Local ministries and churches generously hosted our church at different times. In the summer of 2018, a partnership with a local church gave our nomadic gathering a consistent place to meet in the student ministry buildings of Catawaba Baptist Church.

Expanding the vision...

A healthy church understands that there is a lot more to following Jesus than just showing up on Sunday morning for worship. Through serving with local charities and ministries, going on mission in North America, Haiti, Turkey, Uganda, and building a discipling culture among our congregation, we believe God is just getting started.
We're still praying and preparing for the day that God provides a facility of our own, but we also know that having a building isn't the goal of our church. We want to see people changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Where we are headed...

God is calling our church to follow Him as He builds His church here in the Rock Hill area and around the world. We're asking God to use our church to reach the lost, disciple fellow believers, reach the nations, serve our city, and plant new churches.

It's not always an easy or clear path, but we know that as long as we follow God's leading, we can step confidently into the future!
